Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
Author Tip
The view over the lake from the "Biggeblick" viewing platform is magnificent. This can be reached from the Waldenberger Bucht parking lot via a short footpath.

Public transit
There are no train stations along the route. It is only possible to travel to a limited extent by bus. The nearest train stations to the starting point are in Finnentrop and Lennestadt-Altenhundem.
