The mountain bike tour, a circular route, starts at the Bremberg parking lot with an initial passage that leads down to Winterberg. The route continues with a moderate descent through the Ruhrtal and reaches Niedersfeld. From this point, a continuous ascent towards Langenberg is established, which turns into a technically challenging trail that winds its way through the characteristic Hochheide. Overcoming the Hillekopf is a key section before reaching Küstelberg. There are various options for a break there. This is followed by another ascent that passes the Schienenhütte on Bringsfeld before the route descends back down to Elkeringhausen. After passing the Ehrenscheider Mühle mill in the Orketal valley, the tour culminates in a striking ascent that leads back to Winterberg.

By train


You can usually reach Winterberg quickly and conveniently by interregional train. From Hagen, for example, there are connections every hour, from Kassel every 2 hours. The journey from Dortmund to Winterberg and vice versa takes just 104 minutes. Six times per working day or twelve times on Saturday or Sunday. Information about the door-to-door luggage service is available at all DB sales outlets.
