Willingen Visitor Center, Am Hagen 10, 34508 Willingen (Upland)
From Willingen, we cycle towards Stryck (a detour to the Mühlenkopfschanze is easily possible) and further into the Aarbachtal valley, which takes us to Schwalefeld. Here we cycle through the village and follow the course of the stream until we reach the Ittertal valley. We now cycle up the Itter parallel to the road back to Willingen. If you wish, you can tackle the ascent to the Orenberg in Schwalefeld and enjoy a wonderful view over Willingen.
We recommend functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, rucksack provisions, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.
A detour to the Mühlenkopfschanze and the Skywalk is well worthwhile.
