The Himmelsnah trekking site in the Hochsauerland district has two spacious wooden platforms, each measuring 5 x 3.50 meters, which allow overnight stays in the great outdoors. There is also a small wooden hut with a compost toilet, which contributes to the sustainable use of the area. The stay is limited to a maximum of two consecutive days. The season runs from April 1 to November 15 to ensure that the native wildlife species can retreat undisturbed during the winter months. Visitors are asked to keep quiet and keep the area clean by not leaving any garbage behind. Lighting open fires is prohibited; however, Esbit and gas stoves are permitted. Use of the platforms requires a valid booking confirmation and is subject to typical forest hazards.
