The Adorf circular tour - an exploration of the Diemelsee vacation region by bike - begins at the centrally located parking lot in the town center, marked by the miners' monument. From this starting point, the route initially heads towards Bad Arolsen. After a short section, the route leads to the Heimberg, where there is a significant incline that may require you to push the bike. On leaving Adorf, the route heads towards the Weißenborn. At the height of a farm, there is an opportunity for a short stop to take in the wide view towards Upland. In suitable weather conditions, the Ettelsberg tower on Willingen's local mountain can be clearly seen, a striking feature of the regional landscape. The tour continues as it branches off from the country road and joins the "Im Meer" field path. This section leads past the Martenberg natural monument, a geological gem that provides exciting insights into the history of the earth in the context of the GrenzWelten Geopark. The route continues to the Christiane mine, a visitor mine that invites you to deepen your knowledge of the region. A scheduled break to take part in a guided tour significantly enriches the experience. The return journey then begins, which runs parallel to the country road along the historic miners' trail back to Adorf. This circular route, which is characterized by its family-friendly design and the option to stop for refreshments along the way, ends at the miners' memorial, the original starting point. The route thus offers a multifaceted combination of scenic impressions and cultural-historical references in the Diemelsee region.
