The Almetal tour, a challenging circular tour, begins north of Brilon. Following the course of the Almeradweg, there is initially a moderate ascent. Before reaching the village of Alme, you pass the source of the river. The route then continues with an extended descent through the village. The Alme valley is characterized by a charming natural landscape; the historic Ringelstein railroad station is located near the village of Harth. This historic site, which was known for its railroad romance until 2014, now presents itself in its disused form. The route then continues through the Ringelstein forest to Siddinghausen. The turning point of the tour is reached in Siddinghausen. From here, you leave the Almeradweg and take up the Kaiser route, which initially climbs southwards before descending again through the Meisterwald forest. Finally, the route crosses the B 516 and leads back to Brilon via the R 47 cycle path with a gentle incline. Refreshment stops along the route round off the experience.
