The Bad Sassendorf region presents itself as ideal terrain for ambitious cyclists, characterized by a largely flat, yet multi-faceted landscape. The southern loop, designed as a circular tour, leads through the northern and southern districts and opens up the fertile Bördeland landscape with its characteristic farmsteads and historic village centers. A harmonious natural backdrop is revealed along mature meadows and unobtrusive river courses, complemented by historic half-timbered houses in the traditional Westphalian architectural style. After the cycle tours, the local restaurants, the Börde Therme spa and the spa gardens offer opportunities for regeneration. The Westphalian Salt Worlds adventure museum also provides in-depth insights into the history of the "white gold". The South Loop can serve as a stand-alone discovery tour or, in combination with the North Loop, allow for an extended exploration of the surrounding area.
