A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerland district, Märkischer district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the South Westphalia cycle network.
A stop at Lake Hennesee and its sunbathing lawns is a refreshing way to cool off, especially in midsummer.
At the largest bathing area - Berghauser Bucht - there is a large adventure playground: Piratenbucht Hennesee.

There are very good rail connections to Meschede. There are regular connections from Kassel, Dortmund and Hagen.

From the west: A44 to Werl junction. Continue on the A445 and A 46 towards Arnsberg/Meschede. Take the Meschede exit.
from the north: Take the A2 to the Rheda-Wiedenbrück exit. Continue on the B55 in the direction of Lippstadt/Meschede
.from the south: A45 to the Olpe exit. Continue on the B55 in the direction of Meschede.
Under the Antoniusbrücke bridge at the train station in Meschede or at the P&R parking lot in Lagerstraße. There are also free parking spaces in Kolpingstraße.
