The route starts in the center of Anröchte, which is characterized by striking green sandstone sculptures, and leads northwest to Klieve. There, cyclists are greeted by an obelisk made of Anröchte green sandstone. Adjacent to this work of art by Jo Kley is a viewing platform that offers a sweeping view over the Soester Börde and an impressive perspective of Anröchter quarries. At the end of the village is the Kliever Mühle, a historic building in the middle of a park. Green sandstone spires symbolize the "Orion constellation", complemented by the "Ravens of Klieve", which protectively frame the works of art. The route continues west to Schmerlecke, passes the windmill there and turns south to Altengeseke. The Wiemecke valley is characterized by its predominantly arable use. The tour then leads to Altenmellrich, a village that has repeatedly won awards in the "Our village has a future" competition. The rest of the route is challenging as it crosses the Haar, passes Waldhausen and reaches Belecke. From there, the circular route runs along the Haar back to Effeln. Immediately before the village is the "Zur Haar" adventure point. From here, on a clear day, there is a far-reaching view as far as the Beckum mountains, the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. From this point, the route leads gently downhill to Effeln. The final stage crosses the Pöppelschetal valley, which presents itself as a unique natural spectacle with its remarkable wealth of rare flora and fauna. After a moderate climb, the tour ends in Anröchte.
