Gravel - Mollseifen & Hesborner Wald No. 12

The gravel bike tour "Mollseifen & Hesborner Wald No. 12" presents itself as a challenging circular route in the Sauerland region. Starting from Winterberg, the route leads along the striking Kahler Asten to the Landwehr, before dropping down into the valley to Neuastenberg and then climbing up to Mollseifen. On the Kahler Asten, the Lenne spring is the natural source of an important river. The rest of the route to Züschen is characterized by dense coniferous forest and is mainly downhill. After a section along the Nuhne, the ridge between Liesen and Züschen is passed. The route leads through fields to Hesborn and then back into the wooded areas of the Kleiner and Großer Bromberg. After an extended descent, which is the lowest point of the route, the tour leaves the Orketal valley from Ehrenscheider Mühle. This is followed by a significant ascent towards Winterberg, followed by the return to Bremberg, rounding off the varied exploration of the Sauerland. This tour offers a variety of landscapes and physical challenges.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.

A break on the Kahler Asten or a visit to the Kappe adventure mountain in Winterberg are well worthwhile.
