The Gravel - Rüthener Waldrunde No. 41 opens up a varied landscape characterized by historical elements and natural areas. Starting from the Hachtor in Rüthen, the route initially leads through the historic town center. Passing the site of the former town castle, which now houses a cemetery, the route dips into the valley of the Kitzelbach stream, followed by the crossing of the B 516 and the Möhne river. The route continues eastwards, parallel to the Möhne, until it reaches the Hankerfeld industrial estate. From there, the trail extends through the picturesque Bibertal valley, past the outdoor pool and to the Bibertal forest adventure trail. At this point, the route turns off into the Rüthen municipal forest, where a high-level trail can be followed. A junction before the Brilon city forest leads down into the Upper Biber Valley, before climbing back up to the Möhne Valley. After crossing the B 516 again, the trail leads up the Hengelsbach valley. At the border with Büren, marked by the historic Schnadstein, which marks the district borders of Soest, Paderborn and the Hochsauerland district, the route climbs uphill. The route then branches off in the direction of the valley and leads below the Immenköpfe ridge to the K 45. After following the K 45 uphill, you reach the junction to the Kneblinghausen Roman camp at the edge of the forest. Directly behind it are the paddocks of the Wittekindshof stud farm, which is known in Germany for its breeding successes. The route continues northwards, bypassing the Meiste industrial estate to the west and following a cycle path that leads back to the starting point in Rüthen town center.
