The Hennesee Tour, a regional cycle tour in the Hochsauerland district, starts in Eslohe and first leads to Wenholthausen, known for its historic bakery. The route uses sections of the Hennesee loop of the SauerlandRadring and crosses a mountain ridge, passing the idyllic villages of Büenfeld and Erflinghausen. Lake Hennesee offers a charming backdrop that invites you to linger. The route then runs away from the lake, includes a moderate climb and leads along predominantly quiet paths, some of which are unpaved, through Nichtinghausen, Herhagen and Beisinghausen to Bremke. There are only slight differences in altitude to contend with. The circular tour returns to the starting point in Eslohe via Sallinghausen. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments along the way.
