The regional cycle tour begins in Marsberg, a town that impresses with its historic Obermarsberg with the former town wall and numerous monuments. The Kilianstollen visitor mine also provides an insight into the region's history. The circular route leads through varied landscapes, including open fields, dense forests and extensive meadows, as well as along quiet roads and country lanes towards the Aabach dam. The Aabachtalsperre, an important drinking water reservoir in the region, presents itself in a natural setting. This atmosphere allows for a variety of leisure activities such as cycling and hiking and contributes to relaxation. The route allows you to almost completely circumnavigate the dam. There are rest stops along the way. The return to the starting point in Marsberg is via the Fürstenberg vacation village and Essentho.

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerland district, Märkischer district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the South Westphalia cycle network.
