The Kanzelbrücke tour on Lake Möhne offers a varied cycling experience. The eponymous Kanzelbrücke bridge, whose pillars rise strikingly out of the water, forms the focal point of this circular tour. The starting points are flexible and Körbecke, as the main town in the municipality of Möhnesee, is a suitable starting point. After the tour, there are various options for refreshments and leisure activities. The route runs mostly on separate cycle and footpaths, apart from urban sections in Körbecke and Stockum and a shorter passage on the southern shore. Starting from Körbecke, the route leads eastwards through the fields below the Haarstranges. This opens up far-reaching views of the lake below. After Stockum, the path joins the former "Pengel-Anton" railroad line, which leads to the shore area. The route continues to the Kanzelbrücke bridge, which offers a view of the "Möhneaue Völlinghausen" nature reserve and the Wameler Becken basin. The ride continues along the southern shore before the Stockumer Damm leads to the northern side of the lake. The return journey to Körbecke is made along the shore. The newly designed lake steps there offer an opportunity to linger. The surrounding area offers a range of restaurants and various activities. From here, the route leads back to the starting point.

Directions

From the Haus des Gastes, head east along Küerbiker Straße. The road becomes Stockumer Weg and continues straight on through the Stockum district. After the village, we do not follow the main road as it bends off, but continue eastwards until we reach the aforementioned railroad line, the Pengel-Anton route, where we turn right and reach the shore of Lake Möhne.Below the vacation village of Wamel, you reach the large "Strandbad Wamel" parking lot and keep left, where the Bahnhofstraße runs alongside the lake, until you reach the junction to the right for the Kanzelbrücke bridge. After the bridge, follow the forest road in a westerly direction until you reach Stockumer Damm. After crossing the dam, we turn left onto the lakeside road, which leads us back to Körbecke. If you don't want to take the detour to the lake steps, turn right at the traffic circle and follow the main road uphill back to the Haus des Gastes.junctions: 66 - 69 - 68 - 70 - 66
