Plettenberg center - Oestertal - Oestertalsperre - Herscheid - Elsen - Hüinghausen - Plettenberg centerThe round trip from Plettenberg to Herscheid begins in the center of Plettenberg. 8 km later you reach the dam wall of the Oestertalsperre, along the banks of which you cycle until after a short stretch of country road (approx. 1.5 km) you turn off into the forest again. You pass through the village of Kiesbert. The route continues through the picturesque Oestertal valley at the foot of the Ebbegebirge mountains and in Reblin (15.5 km - the apex of the route) you have the opportunity to stop for a short break. It is then 3 km along a country road to Herscheid. Here you will find one of the best ice cream parlors in the area. You reach Elsen via a small country road. Here you cycle through the forest again. From Hüinghausen, the route leads along cycle paths past the museum railroad back to your destination.
