Plettenberg - Brüninghauser Tal - Birnbaum -Sundern-Amecke - Langscheid - PlettenbergThe tour starts in the center of Plettenberg and leads along cycle paths through the Lennetal valley for around 7 km to Brüninghausen Castle. From there, the route enters the forest via the Brüninghauser Tal (also known as the Märzenbechertal) and the Affelner Höhe. After approx. 15 km, you reach the Sorpe dam reservoir at Sundern-Amecke. A beautiful cycle path leads along the lake and over the dam to Langscheid. Here you have the opportunity to stop for a bite to eat. The return journey to Amecke is by Sorpeseeschifffahrt boat (fare € 7.00 per person) and from there it is 20 km through the Sauerland forests back to your destination.
