The road bike tour starts in Meschede and, after the junction at the Kreishaus, runs along the lakeside path of the Hennesee. This section requires increased attentiveness due to the high frequency of use. This is followed by a continuous ascent to the half-timbered village of Remblinghausen. A further ascent leads to the wind turbines at Einhaus, from where there is a far-reaching panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. A dynamic descent leads into the Valmetal valley, which offers a flowing riding experience with a moderate gradient. The circular tour returns to Meschede, the starting point, via the villages of Berlar and Heggen.

How to get there

From the Ruhrgebiet/Netherlands



  • In the direction of Kassel via the A 44 to the Werl junction. Take the A 445 and A 46 towards Arnsberg/Meschede. Take the Meschede exit.


From the north



  • Via the A 2 exit Rheda-Wiedenbrück, continue on the B 55 towards Lippstadt/Meschede.


From the south-west



  • Via the Sauerlandlinie A 45 exit Olpe. Continue on the B 55 towards Meschede.


From a south-easterly direction



  • Via Würzburg and Fulda to Kassel. Continue on the A 44 towards Dortmund as far as the Erwitte/Anröchte/Meschede exit. Take the B 55 towards Olpe/Meschede.
