The Repetal cycle route is a regional circular route that opens up the southern Sauerland in North Rhine-Westphalia. This tour includes moderate topographical challenges, making it suitable for cyclists of average fitness. The route allows for flexible access at various points, with a designated starting point in the area between Attendorn and Helden. Along the Repetal cycle route, cyclists cross a diverse landscape characterized by historic villages and natural sections. There is a particular focus on the Bundesgolddorf Niederhelden, which acts as a prominent point along the route. The larger villages of Helden and Dünschede are also part of the route, along with a number of other smaller settlements that characterize the Repetal valley. The route passes through Dünschede, Röllecken, St. Claas, Niederhelden, Helden, Repe, Rieflinghausen, Hofkühl and Berlinghausen. The course also leads over the Sonnenberg, which offers potentially far-reaching views of the surrounding region. The route's infrastructure also includes various places to stop for refreshments and rest. Information boards have also been installed along the route to explain the cultural, historical and scenic features of the surrounding area. These provide in-depth insights into the region and enrich the tour experience with informative impulses. The Repetal cycle route thus offers an opportunity to explore the structural and aesthetic diversity of the Repetal in depth.
