The Sauerland Rundfahrt, an established racing bike event, is organized by RC Victoria Neheim in cooperation with SVL Sports GmbH as well as local clubs and communities in the Hochsauerland district. The German Cycling Federation has once again awarded the event the status of a national league race. This challenging road bike tour leads through the Sauerland, a region known for its diverse topographical features, often referred to as the "land of 1000 mountains". Along the route, numerous interested parties gather at prominent points such as the Hirschberger Wand, the Arnsberg Schlossberg, the Niederwald zum Odin near Meschede and the Rochuskapelle in Eslohe to support the athletes. The tour starts in Neheim town center and finishes at the Kahler Asten. The route runs from Neheim via Arnsberg, Warstein, Meschede, Sundern, Eslohe and Schmallenberg to Winterberg, consistently climbing peaks and offering an intense riding experience.

Safety guidelines

On the day of the race, the roads to be used will be completely closed at times. The police will work with a rolling cordon. This means that road traffic will be stopped shortly before the arrival of the race and will be reopened after the entire accompanying convoy has passed. This means a full closure, but of course not everywhere for the entire race day, but only for a brief moment.

Public transit

From Dortmund, the RE 57 takes you directly to the starting point in Neheim without having to change trains. Once you have arrived at the finish in Winterberg, you can use the same train connection back to Dortmund.
