The regional cycle tour "Through the Homert", designated as Bike Arena Tour No. 37, presents itself as a challenging circular route in the Hochsauerland district. The starting point in Eslohe guides cyclists with an initial ascent to the Rochus Chapel, followed by a passage to Sieperting. The route then follows the Salwey valley to the foot of the Homert, where a challenging climb to the top of the pass is tackled. A subsequent descent leads to Meinkenbracht. The route continues with a shorter ascent, which leads into a long descent to Grevenstein. The tour approaches Eslohe via Wenholthausen-Mathmecke, but not without the previous challenge of the steep "Windknochen" climb. The circuit ends via Sallinghausen back to Eslohe. This tour is almost entirely on asphalted paths and offers various refreshment stops in the villages you pass through.
