Tour 1: Between two Kneipp spas, start Brilon

This regional cycle tour shows the characteristic attributes of two Kneipp spas in combination with the rich history of the Hanseatic town of Brilon. The route leads along the river landscapes of the Ruhr and Möhne, which characterize the scenic diversity of the region. The route initially runs downstream along the Möhne, crossing the Brilon districts of Scharfenberg and Rixen and passing the Altebüren mill before reaching Esshoff. The route continues towards Nuttlar, where the crossing of the highest highway bridge in North Rhine-Westphalia is an architectural highlight. A section of the Ruhr Valley cycle path leads upstream to Antfeld, from where a detour to the Kneipp spa in Olsberg reveals another facet of the tour. The way back involves a gentle ascent through Altenbüren before finally reaching the historic old town of Brilon and its market square again.
