The Three Gold Villages Tour is a circular route through award-winning villages in Olsberg, all of which have been awarded the "Gold Village" label. The black and white village scenery is characteristic, characterized by lush flower arrangements on half-timbered facades and gastronomic offerings of regional specialties. Each of the villages has a remarkable history. Elleringhausen is characterized by the artworks of Jürgen Suberg, a student of Joseph Beuys. Bruchhausen, known as the European Gold Village, is characterized by the Bruchhauser Steinen - four mighty volcanic rocks that rise up in an extensive nature reserve. Assinghausen, the official rose village, presents an impressive diversity of 200 rose varieties cultivated in the local gardens and parks.

Author Tip

In Elleringhausen, the house of the artist Suberg is well worth a visit. The sculpture garden is located directly opposite the cycle path. The Bruchhauser Steine and the rose garden in Bruchhausen are also always worth a visit. Just as beautiful is the rose village of Assinghausen, which you should not simply leave "on the left". The short detour is definitely worthwhile.
