WasserWegeWinkel comprises seven Westphalian municipalities and their most striking locations, which allow for comprehensive exploration. The autonomy and individuality of these communities is reflected in three key features: CulturePlaces, NatureSpaces and WaterWorlds. The result is a multi-layered network of specific places and sections that shape the attractiveness of the route. The balanced interplay of historic town centers, floodplain landscapes, overgrown ruins, protected biotopes, sacred buildings, educational institutions and other facets is extremely varied. The themed route stretches through seven municipalities with numerous interesting points of interest. The LEADER region of Lippe-Möhnesee offers a wide range of experiences. Each participating municipality presents its own special features and integrates itself coherently into the regional structure. The design of the stages ensures a continuous sequence of discovery opportunities. Starting from Möhnesee, the Möhne Valley Cycle Trail leads to the Ruhr Valley Trail. This creates a link with the established Emsradweg and Ruhrtalradweg cycle routes.
