Werler Kleeblatt - four cycle tours

The concept of the "Werl cloverleaf" opens up the characteristic Hellwegbörde through four thematically coherent circular routes, which convey cultural-historical, natural and agricultural aspects in a didactically sound manner within the urban area of Werl. Each of the four thematic routes is specifically named and color-coded. The so-called "Windmill Tour" leads past historical and contemporary windmills, which have a significant impact on the landscape. The "Salt in Werl" route highlights the historical significance of salt for the town. A third route, the "Battle of Birkenbaum", deals with the legendary conflict on the city border with Unna. Finally, the "Wide view and sauerkraut" tour offers extensive views from the Haar, followed by a descent into the typical regional sauerkraut village of Westönnen. These circular tours allow for a variety of explorations. The starting point for all circular routes is at the Werl leisure pool, where a detailed start board south of the building, at the entrance to the sports park, provides relevant information. It should be noted that the signposting of the four routes in the "Werler Kleeblatt" follows a consecutive numbering system in the route plan and that the routes are only ridden in this designated direction.
