Willingen pleasure cycling (W4>marked green)
The W4 bike tour, marked in green, is a loop route from Willingen along the Diemel Bike Trail to the Diemelsee Dam and back via Usseln. There are places to stop for refreshments along the route.

The W4 circular bike route, marked in green, leads from Willingen to Lake Diemel. The route crosses the reservoir’s dam and runs in sections along Lake Diemel and the Diemel River.

Directions
From the visitor center we go to the center of Willingen. There we turn onto Schwalefelder Straße in the direction of Diemelsee. We follow this road to the barrier wall of the Diemelsee and from there cycle along the Diemel cycle path (recognizable by the ammonite signpost) to Usseln. The Diemel cycle path always runs alongside the river through the beautiful Diemel valley. In Usseln we turn into Sportstraße, then into Am Schneppelnberg and cycle back to Willingen to the visitor center.

We recommend functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, rucksack provisions, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.
