Winterberg Bike Park

The Winterberg Bike Park, known as THE MOTHER, is located in the heart of the Sauerland region on the Kappe hill, on the west-southwest to southwest edge of downtown Winterberg. It has established itself as one of the leading destinations for mountain biking in Germany. With over 17 trails totaling more than 20 kilometers in length, the park offers a wide variety of riding options. The offerings include challenging downhill, freeride, and enduro trails, as well as flow country trails and a Beginner & Kids course for all skill levels.

The trails feature a variety of elements such as banked turns, waves, step-ups, step-downs, and gaps, and are continuously maintained by a dedicated trail crew. Three modern chairlifts are available for convenient transport to the starting point.

In addition to the trails, THE MOTHER – Bikepark Winterberg features a bike rental service that provides the latest gravity bikes and protective gear, such as full-face helmets and pads. The affiliated ShredAcad Bikeschool by The Mother offers riding technique training in group or private lessons, as well as bike camps to deepen knowledge and skills in mountain biking. Use of the trails requires wearing a full-face helmet, and full-body protection is mandatory on select trails. E-bikes are permitted provided they are privately owned and do not exceed the maximum lift weight of 25 kg.
