The Bigge-Lister-Höhenroute, a prominent regional cycle tour and junction route, opens up the Biggesee-Listersee nature experience area with a well thought-out infrastructure for cyclists. The characteristically undulating topography of the Sauerland presents itself here with its striking hills, extensive forests and deep valleys. Both remote roads and challenging trails offer ideal conditions for mountain bike enthusiasts.
As an established circular route, the high-altitude route offers a flexible starting point, although the train station in Olpe is a frequently used starting point. This variant of the Bigge-Lister cycle route links the towns of Olpe, Attendorn and Drolshagen as well as the eponymous Bigge and Listersee lakes. The route requires an adequate level of physical fitness. Along the entire route, there are information boards for orientation as well as numerous rest and refreshment stops, which invite you to linger and enrich the experience.
