The Biggesee-Listersee nature experience area offers an excellent infrastructure for cyclists. The characteristic hilly landscape of the Sauerland region, criss-crossed by forests and valleys, together with quiet paths and challenging trails, provides attractive conditions. The Bigge-Lister Lakes Route, one of the variants of the Bigge-Lister Cycle Tour, opens up the region primarily along the shorelines of the lakes. Orientation along this circular tour is facilitated by information boards that highlight current locations. Numerous rest and relaxation areas along the route offer opportunities to take a break and relax. The starting point at Waldenburg Bay near Attendorn can be chosen at will, as this is a circular tour. From there, the trail leads south along the Biggesee. Further on, you reach the Listerdamm, which physically separates the water bodies of the Bigge and Lister dams. The route encircles the Listersee and then leads around the Biggesee again until the Biggestaudamm finally comes into view. Varied attractions such as bathing opportunities, the "BiggeBlick" viewpoint and the option of a complementary boat tour enhance the experience of this tour.
