The Gevore Tour offers an in-depth exploration of the western Sauerland region by tracing the historical presence of the noblemen of Gevore, who once resided in the area of the Veischede and Lenne rivers. This circular route guides interested cyclists along the imposing ruins of their former castle complexes. The route, which is moderately demanding in terms of fitness, provides a historical immersion in the midst of a diverse natural landscape. Significant landmarks along the route include the ruins of Peperburg Castle near Grevenbrück, Bilstein Castle, Schnellenberg Castle and the Hohe Bracht viewing tower. These characteristic landmarks define the overall picture of this regional cycle tour. The robust surface of the paths, which can be used all year round, ensures consistent accessibility. The starting points are either the settlement of Apollmicke near Olpe or the district of Lennestadt-Grevenbrück.
