The Historical Route on Lake Möhne, a circular route starting in Körbecke, the main town in the municipality, reveals the history of North Rhine-Westphalia's largest reservoir. Fourteen illustrated stations accompany the exploration of the past. Historical photographs of boat trips in the 1920s, the Drüggelter post station and the former railroad station in Wamel paint a multifaceted picture of bygone eras. Vivid information boards shed light on the events from the construction of the imposing dam and its destruction to its development into today's recreational area. The route also offers attractive views of the lake and its characteristic shoreline landscape.
