The Möhnesee shore tour, a regional cycle tour, runs largely along the shoreline of the Möhnesee, making it easy to find your way around. This opens up extensive opportunities to enjoy the impressive views of the water from the north and south banks and to explore the many attractions along the route. The start of the circular tour on the north bank leads to the lakeside park, whose appealing design offers a variety of leisure activities for different age groups as well as gastronomic offerings. These elements are suitable for both starting and finishing the cycle tour. The eastern route passes the Uferlos lido, which invites you to linger on its sandy beach in the summer months. Further on, you reach the Kanzelbrücke bridge, whose distinctive bridge pillars rise out of the water and provide an attractive motif for photographs. The nearby district of Völlinghausen offers additional leisure activities, including mini golf and a wildlife park. After passing the Kanzelbrücke bridge, the route continues westwards along the south bank. The Möhneaue-Völlinghausen information trail offers insights into the ecological and cultural-historical features of the region along twelve information boards. The Körbecke pedestrian and cycle bridge makes it possible to shorten the route to the Seepark. After crossing the Delecker Bridge, there are various detours to take: For example, a turn-off to the left leads to a public bathing area with sunbathing lawn. Another option is the route to the right, followed by a climb to the Drüggelter Chapel, a building whose history is shrouded in numerous legends. From this point, the route leads back to the Seepark in Körbecke.

Directions

The suggested starting point at the Seepark offers a large number of parking spaces. From there, we cycle past the leisure center along the cycle path through Stockum and Wamel in the direction of Kanzelbrücke, which we reach and cross after approx. 6 km. We now continue west along the south bank. We pass the pedestrian bridge and the junction to the gatehouse on the left and reach the Delecker bridge. On the north side of the bridge there is also a landing stage for the MS Möhnesee, so that a one-hour boat trip can also be added here (April-October). Bicycle transportation is free of charge. Without taking any further detours, turn right at the traffic circle after the bridge to return to the lake steps in Körbecke.junctions: 70 - 69 - 68 - 72 - 71 - 70
