The "Biggesee Triathlon" road bike circuit is not a traditional triathlon challenge. Rather, this predominantly moderate route focuses on the experience of water, road cycling and relaxed transportation. The tour starts at the Olpe leisure pool and initially leads over the only notable climbs on the course, which are towards Welschen Ennest and over the Apollmicke hermitage. The route then runs mostly flat on the easily navigable Biggerandweg, which always offers a view of the Biggesee. The return to the starting point at the Olpe leisure pool is a smooth ride. The experience can be extended by using the bathing facilities there.

Equipment

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.

Safety guidelines

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
