The road bike tour from Schmallenberg in the Sauerland presents a varied route. After overcoming an initial ascent near Wormbach, a longer section with a generally downhill profile stretches through rural villages. After Wenholthausen, another ascent begins, which leads via Grevenstein, the site of the Veltins brewery, and Meinkenbracht to Sundern. A section of a main road leads to another ascent to Sorpesee. Along the shore, the terrain allows for smooth progress. The route leads via Sundern-Hagen and a serpentine descent to Rönkausen. This is followed by the primary ascent via Glinge and the reservoir basin up to Faulebutter and on to Röhrenspring. The topographical conditions offer picturesque side roads and far-reaching panoramic views. A dynamic alternation of climbs and descents characterizes the rest of the route via Oedingen and Bracht before returning to Schmallenberg.
