The road bike tour from Olsberg begins with an initial ascent via Schören and Istenberg. The route then leads via Willingen down to Diemelsee. The rest of the route via Korbach leads into a challenging climb to Küstelberg. After Winterberg, there is a slight descent towards Siedlinghausen. Another short, intense climb leads the route back to Olsberg, which is undulating and tends to descend.

Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
Public transit
Olsberg is on the Sauerland Express route (RE 17 Hagen-Warburg/Kassel) and is therefore easy to reach at hourly intervals. The Dortmund-Sauerland-Express (RE 57 Dortmund-Winterberg) also offers a regular direct connection to Bigge-Olsberg.
