The start of the Bildchen road bike tour is characterized by a moderate climb to Berlar. After Ramsbeck, an extensive uphill section unfolds, which leads via Andreasberg and Wasserfall, past the Fort Fun leisure park, to Siedlinghausen. A continuous ascent then characterizes the route to the Großer Bildchen. The descent to Niedersorpe enables the passage to Bad Fredeburg, which leads over a gentle elevation. The route then undulates around the Teufelskopf, through Ober- and Niederhenneborn to the Hennesee. The final section runs along a traffic-free eastern shore path of the Hennesee, flat back to Meschede, and rounds off the overall route. There are also various opportunities to stop for refreshments along the route.

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.


The road bike tours of the Bike Arena Sauerland run on roads where motorized traffic is to be expected.

Author Tip

Make a stop at the Hennesee. From the dam, the Himmelstreppe leads down to the Hennepark.
