The Brilon road bike tour presents a multifaceted landscape panorama. It leads through open field and meadow landscapes in the north of Brilon and near Rüthen, but changes into extensive forest areas of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park and the forests north of Winterberg. The initially moderate route develops into a challenging mountain section as it progresses. In the final section before Brilon, several prominent climbs present a particular challenge.
