The Valmetal & Bruchhauser Steine road bike tour starts in Olsberg and leads through Gevelinhausen and Ramsbeck into the Valmetal valley. This passage has a continuous, albeit subtle, ascent that extends to the historic half-timbered village of Bödefeld. A refreshment stop is recommended here. The route continues with moderate changes in topography before descending in serpentines to Bad Fredeburg. After a section of flatter terrain, the long ascent via Nordenau to Altastenberg begins, which requires a certain level of fitness. One option is to include an additional section to the Kahler Asten. From Altastenberg, there is an extended descent to Siedlinghausen. The section to Wulmeringhausen is a relaxed ride along the Neger valley. You then have to pass a ridge, which opens up the backdrop of the Bruchhauser Steine. From this point, the starting point of the tour is quickly reached again.
