The "Winterberg Wave Riders" circular road bike tour starts at the Kappe adventure mountain. From there, the route leads up to the Kahler Asten, the highest accessible elevation in North Rhine-Westphalia and a striking topographical feature. The optional elevation gain offers a far-reaching panoramic view of the surrounding landscape of the Hochsauerland district. After Altastenberg, there is an extended descent that leads over the Große Bildchen to Siedlinghausen. This point marks the northernmost extension of the circular tour. The rest of the "Wellenreiter" is characterized by a moderate ascent through the valley of the "nameless" and leads back to Winterberg. In unfavorable weather conditions, it is possible to end the tour in the area where the road passes through the town. This is followed by a rapid descent towards Züschen, followed by undulating terrain via Mollseifen, which forms the only challenging uphill section before Neuastenberg. From this point, the return to the starting point is a fading passage.
