The "Zur Henne" road bike tour leads through the challenging topography of the Hochsauerland district near Olsberg. This circular tour offers cyclists challenging sections and far-reaching views of the low mountain range landscape. It is a route with a sporty character.
The road bike tour starts in Olsberg and leads along the Ruhr through villages such as Nuttlar, Bestwig, Velmede and Heinrichsthal before reaching Meschede. The route crosses the Ruhr in Meschede, passing Kaiser-Otto-Platz and Steinstraße. After the district hall, the route turns left and then immediately turns right again after a bridge passage. A moderate incline leads to the Hennesee dam. There, pedestrians have the option of crossing the Himmelsbrücke bridge. The tour continues evenly along the traffic-free eastern shore of the Hennesee to Mielinghausen Bay. This is followed by climbs towards Remblinghausen and Löllinghausen before reaching a significant point in Klause. The route then leads through Heringhausen and Gevelinghausen with a characteristically undulating profile. A final descent via Biggen finally leads back to the starting point in Olsberg, completing the circular route.

Public transit
Olsberg is on the Sauerland Express route (RE 17 Hagen-Warburg/Kassel) and is therefore easy to reach at hourly intervals. The Dortmund-Sauerland-Express (RE 57 Dortmund-Winterberg) also offers a regular direct connection to Bigge-Olsberg.
How to get there
A 44, Bad Wünnenberg exit, via Brilon (B 480) to Olsberg. At the traffic lights in the town center, drive towards Olsberg-Bigge.
