The road bike circuit around the Biggesee starts with a moderate climb that touches the lakeshore at Bremge. After the ski lift in Fahlenscheid, the route leads into an extended descent to Olpe. The route then crosses characteristic villages with varied topography before reaching the western shore of the Biggesee again. A final ascent concludes the tour in Attendorn and offers various places to stop for refreshments.

Safety guidelines

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerland district, Märkischer district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the South Westphalia cycle network.

Travel via the Hagen-Siegen route with a change in Finnentrop.

How to get there

The town of Attendorn is easy to reach via the A4 highway (Cologne - Olpe) and the A45 Sauerland route. On the A45, take the Attendorn/Olpe exit and follow the signs, which will take you past small villages along the Biggesee, or take the Meinerzhagen exit and follow the signs to Attendorn from there.
