The Hesse road bike tour is characterized by an open landscape with little forest cover and a characteristically undulating route profile. Starting from Marsberg, the first striking elevation immediately presents itself, followed by a descent and another ascent to the Thielekopf. The route continues to the Twistesee before a flatter section follows. Further on, both before and after passing Korbach, the topography becomes hilly again. This characteristic remains until Giershagen, from where a continuous descent marks the end of the route back to Marsberg.
