The road bike tour starts at the Apollmicke hiking parking lot and initially leads along a mainly flat topography to Würdinghausen. After passing Oberhundem, there is an extended ascent with numerous hairpin bends to the Rhein-Weser-Turm. A rapid descent leads over to Aue-Wingeshausen before another ascent towards Jagdhaus. You then reach Schmallenberg, from where the route follows the established Sauerland Cycle Ring for a considerable distance. The return to the starting point at Apollmicke is finally through the Veischede valley in the Lenne valley. There are various places to stop for refreshments along the route.
