The Winterberg Express - REMBE-rad-net Pro Cycling™ Sauerland Challenge starts in Winterberg. The predominantly asphalted route demands stamina and riding technique right from the start. It leads through picturesque villages and constantly offers impressive panoramic views of the unique Sauerland landscape. The route is characterized by striking climbs that test your climbing ability. The elevation gain is compensated by subsequent rapid descents. Each section is designed to offer maximum riding enjoyment and a sporting challenge. A highlight of the tour is a striking ascent to one of the highest points in the region. This is followed by a spectacular descent through dense forests and wide fields. The final passages back to Winterberg combine moderate climbs with flat sections, allowing for a dynamic finish to the ride. This road bike tour offers an intensive exploration of the Sauerland. It stimulates enthusiasm for cycling and promotes performance at a demanding level.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
