The Nicolaiviertel is part of Unna’s historic city center and is characterized by half-timbered houses, narrow alleys, and well-preserved old-town cobblestones. Cultural and culinary attractions include the Hellweg Museum in the old castle, the historic city wall, Spanish tapas, Italian cuisine, a wine bar, and a waffle shop. The town church is considered the oldest building in Unna. The Nicolaihaus is home to literature; the old town’s cobblestones extend all the way to the pubs.

Directions

The Nicolaiviertel Unna is located in the Altstadt, right next to the city wall. The museum is a five-minute walk from the train station. The underground parking garage at the train station (closed on Sundays) offers sufficient parking spaces for those arriving by car. On Sundays, you can park for free in the Hellweg-Center parking lot at Ostring 11. From here it is also only a few minutes' walk to the museum.
