The road bike tour, starting in Neuenrade, first opens up the western shore of the Sorpesee, a passage that captivates with its charming shoreline landscape. After passing the town of Sundern, the route leads over undulating terrain via Hellefeld into the Wenne valley near Berge. This is followed by the route along the former railroad line of the SauerlandRadring, which leads to Schmallenberg. The route then crosses the open, agricultural Hawerland to the village of Eslohe. Up to Fretter, the route again follows the railroad line of the SauerlandRadring, passing through the famous Fehrenbracht railroad tunnel. This is known nationwide as the "Fledermaustunnel", as it serves as a refuge for rare bat species during the winter months. The continuous ascent to the topographically highest point of the tour, near Röhrenspring, then begins. The subsequent descent leads along the Röhr valley to the village of Endorf. From there, the rest of the route presents itself as a varied undulating profile, which leads back to the starting point in Neuenrade via Stockum, Allendorf and Affeln.
