The initial phase of the tour is characterized by a continuous alternation between ascents and descents, which places an immediate demand on your fitness. The route leads via Altenkleusheim, Neuenkleusheim and Fahlenscheid to Oberveischede. An extended ascent begins there, which passes Apollmicke and turns into a dynamic descent into the Olpe valley. Flat sections near Kirchhundem offer the opportunity to recover. After Oberhundem, a striking section of the tour awaits cyclists: the serpentine section over the Rothaargebirge to the Rhein-Weser-Turm. This is followed by a long descent into the Edertal, allowing you to recover from the previous meters of altitude. After the valley passage, the second crossing of the Rothaargebirge takes place with another challenging climb to Jagdhaus, followed by a charming descent to Schmallenberg. In Schmallenberg, you have the opportunity to stop off at one of the cafés to replenish your energy reserves. The following kilometers lead along the SauerlandRadring on a former railroad line before the ascent to Dorlar begins again. The route crosses Haverland in the south of Eslohe and leads back to the district of Olpe near Fretter via an extended descent. There, the route joins the SauerlandRadring again. After a short climb, the route reaches the Lennetal valley near Barmenohl, which it follows before branching off into the picturesque Repetal valley. The Repetal is crossed over Repe with almost no significant elevation gain before the final section along the Biggesee is reached at Bremge. This section offers an opportunity to recover after the previous meters of altitude.
