TERRA.trail 5, a circular tour in the Wiehengebirge, starts at Bad Holzhausen railroad station. It leads to the Limberg castle ruins, a structure dating back to the 12th century, and on to the Wiehen tower, a viewing platform with a panoramic view of the forest landscape and the "Egge" ridge. A historic section of forest with the Amalia colliery is a reminder of the impsonite mining that was carried out until 1921. In Preußisch Oldendorf, you pass a quarry site on the Linkenberg, which provides geological insights. After crossing the railroad and B65, the route leads through the Wiehengebirgsvorland, past Offelten, Bruchlage, Eikel, Auf der Horst, to the Stockhausen estate, a privately owned medieval manor. The route illustrates the contrast between Lübbeck's industrial area and the Nettelstedt moor nature reserve. The Königsmühle Eilhausen mill, built in 1748 and later extended, stands for regional milling tradition. A lime kiln from 1945 and a quarry with visible layers of rock complete the exploration. A climb leads to the ridge in the Tudden valley. After Hüllhorst, you reach the Lusmühle sulphur baths, a well-known sulphur spring since 1772. The Husenmühle serves as a renovated refreshment stop. The tour climbs to the Wiehengebirg ridge west of the Heidbrink, where the former Reineberg castle complex is located and modern use is visible. The route leads to Lübbecke, a town with preserved buildings, and to the Barre brewery with its "Brauwelt". After a further climb at Wurzelbrink, you pass the "Babilonie" castle complex, a place shrouded in legend. The tour ends in Bad Holzhausen, after crossing orchards near Obermehnen. The cycle tour in the Wiehengebirge provides a variety of insights into nature and history.
