After the junction with the B 236, the route initially runs flat through the picturesque half-timbered village of Fleckenberg. The subsequent ascent begins abruptly and requires immediate muscle activation with a pronounced left-hand bend. At the end of the village, the gradient decreases slightly in intensity, but remains constantly demanding. Rapidly gaining altitude on the left-hand side allows for wide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. As you continue through the forest, various hairpin bends lead to the village of Jagdhaus, which is the culmination point of the tour. In Jagdhaus there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments to revitalize your energy reserves. This is followed by a scenic descent that leads to the Siegerland side of the Rothaargebirge and into the Eder valley. This offers strategic decision options: A continuation of the route downstream towards Bad Berleburg or an opposite ride upstream to the Rhine-Weser Tower, another notable pass.
