The "Attendorn Up and Down" road bike circuit unfolds as a challenging exploration of the South Südwestfalen landscape. The tour takes in the Lennetal valley and its tributary valleys several times, creating a dynamic route profile. The start of this circular route can be chosen flexibly; the "Mühlwiese" parking lot in Attendorn is the preferred starting point for the GPX track.
The route is characterized by a challenging topography that intelligently combines demanding climbs and speedy descents. From Attendorn, the course first leads out of the Biggetal valley and crosses the watershed to the Lennetal valley near Plettenberg. The rest of the route winds its way through the hilly landscape, passes elevations such as Röhrenspring and Faule Butter and, after ascents in Langenei, flows back into the Lenne river valley.
After passing through Einsiedelei and Apollmicke, there is a panoramic view of the Biggesee before returning to Attendorn. This tour represents a synthesis of sporting challenge and scenic immersion in the nature of North Rhine-Westphalia.
